History: Cochrane Road Self Storage opened in May 1997 and is a partnership between Charles J. Toeniskoetter, Chairman of Toeniskoetter & Breeding, Inc., and William F. Kenney, an attorney based in San Mateo. Kenney is also a former president of the national Self Storage Association and owner of several storage facilities. Daniel T. Amend, senior vice-president of TBI Development, oversees Cochrane Road Self Storage. Gina Six has been the facility's manager since February of 1997.
Philosophy: Company's motto is, "Treat everyone as we would like to be treated," striving to view customers as neighbors and family members. Company asks tenants to be vigilant to maintain a safe, secure and friendly environment. Staff strives to provide a warm, friendly atmosphere to make moving as stress free and pleasant as possible.
Services: With 100,000 square feet of rent space and almost 700 units, the business can accommodate any storage need. It also provides a gated facility with computer controlled gate access and alarmed units. Owners have always supported many community-related efforts. Cochrane Road Self Storage has sponsored the Toys for Tots program. Gina and husband Steve are responsible for covering the areas of Morgan Hill, San Martin and Gilroy for the drive. Cochrane Storage provides the facility to collect toys and handles logistics for the program.
